The Dover School District is seeking a versatile and detail-oriented District School Psychologist to join our team. Unlike building-specific roles, this unique district-wide position focuses on a diverse evaluation caseload serving public charter schools, private schools, and students in specialized out-of-district placements. You will serve as a lead evaluator and a critical member of IEP teams, ensuring that students across all educational settings receive the comprehensive assessment and recommendations developed as a result of the assessment process to help them thrive. Key Responsibilities: Comprehensive Evaluations • Determine Eligibility: Conduct thorough psychological assessments for initial referrals and triennial re-evaluations to determine or re-establish eligibility for special education services. • Inform Programming: Perform targeted evaluations to provide data-driven insights that help IEP teams refine and improve a student's specific educational programming. • Diverse Caseload Management: Travel between and evaluate students within Dover's public charter schools, local private schools, and out-of-district specialized placements. IEP Team Collaboration • Expert Participation: Serve as a core member of IEP teams, presenting evaluation findings in a clear, accessible manner for both educators and families. • Data Interpretation: Translate complex assessment data into actionable educational recommendations and goals. Indirect Consultative Services • Problem-Solving: Act as a resource for IEP teams to troubleshoot behavioral or academic challenges through a school psychological services lens.
