Job Description
SGM is looking for a Rebuild Technician in our shop in Cleveland, Ohio to repair rotors that come from our customers in the scrap yard industry. The person for this job must like to take things apart to see what repairs need to be made and be able to put it back together with new parts. This candidate/applicant must be able to use hand tools and may have worked as an auto mechanic. Mechanical experience is a must, training will be provided.
This new position will encompass many different responsibilities.
As the Rebuild Technician, the candidate will be responsible for the following:
1. Repair, rebuild and refurbish rotors for eddy currents (training will be provided).
2. Shipping and Receiving
a. Schedule inbound trucks
b. Sign and date packing slips
c. Tag shipment – name, date and job number
d. Email to required parties
e. File all slips
3. Inventory
a. Assist with inventory, oversee warehouse maintaining spare parts in respective locations.
b. First of each month, inventory reports to be emailed to all required parties or when needed.
4. Unload and load trucks using forklift/overhead crane.
5. Maintain and ensure warehouse is organized and cleaned on a daily basis.
6. Upkeep of auxiliary equipment: Forklifts, Skid Steer; Overhead Cranes, etc.
7. Forklift accreditation (training provided).
8. Assist with preparing incoming testing of materials.
9. Travel with Service Tech’s when necessary to commission and/or repair SGM equipment.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Candidate must have the following skills:
· Must be action oriented and be able to work independently and under the direction of others.
· Must have strong mechanical, organization skills and a positive attitude.
· Ability to lift 50+ lbs. when needed and able to handle physical workload.
· Experience in industrial environment.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Computer literate.
· Excellent communication skills and customer oriented.
· Must have stable employment history.
