Equipment Mechanical Technician

Log Cabin Fence Co., Inc. – Southwestern Pennsylvania | Full-Time

About the Company / Position

Log Cabin Fence has been building fences, structures, and specialized equipment since 1981. As a family-owned company, we value craftsmanship, reliability, and practical mechanical skills.

We are seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to support the repair, maintenance, and improvement of farm and post driver equipment used in our shop and field operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving mechanical problems and keeping equipment operating at peak performance.

Pay

$20.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience

Hours

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
40–50 hours per week depending on season
Overtime paid at time and a half for hours over 40

Duties / Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and modify farm and construction equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues
• Repair hydraulic systems including hoses, cylinders, pumps, and fittings
• Perform welding and light fabrication as needed
• Assist with painting, prep, and finishing of equipment
• Support field crews with equipment setup and on-site repairs
• Load and unload materials, equipment, and deliveries
• Occasionally assist customers with equipment-related questions

Qualifications / Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Experience with farm machinery, construction equipment, or similar systems
• Knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical systems
• Welding or fabrication experience preferred
• Comfortable operating forklifts, loaders, or similar equipment (or willing to learn)
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently
• Willing to work both in the shop and on job sites
