The Safety Manager is responsible for leading and executing all safety programs for a complex industrial client site. This role serves as the dedicated safety professional for the account, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, implementation of best-in-class safety practices, and consistent adherence to ESFM Quality Assurance and Loss Prevention standards. The ideal candidate brings strong industrial safety experience in high-risk environments such as petrochemical, power generation, construction, heavy manufacturing, or oil & gas operations. This position requires hands-on safety leadership, regulatory expertise, and the ability to proactively identify and mitigate risk within technical and industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the on-site subject matter expert for all environmental health and safety (EHS) matters
Implement, maintain, and continuously improve site-specific safety programs aligned with OSHA and applicable regulatory standards
Conduct regular job site inspections, hazard assessments, and compliance audits
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
Ensure contractor and vendor safety compliance in alignment with client expectations
Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and compliance education tailored to industrial operations
Track, analyze, and report safety metrics to drive continuous improvement
Support risk mitigation strategies in maintenance, janitorial, engineering, and project-based work environments
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred
Equivalent combination of education, professional certification, and relevant industrial safety experience will be considered
4+ years of dedicated safety experience in industrial environments such as petrochemical, power generation, oil & gas, heavy manufacturing, or construction
Experience serving in a safety-specific role (EHS Manager, Safety Manager, Safety Specialist, or similar), with primary responsibility for safety compliance and program management
Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards applicable to industrial and technical facilities
Demonstrated experience conducting risk assessments, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and incident investigations
Professional safety certifications strongly preferred, including CHST, OHST, STS/STS-C, GSP, ASP, or CSP; OSHA 30 required (OSHA 10 considered foundational).
