Position Type: Full-Time | Orthopedic Spine Surgery

Position Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Spine Surgeon to join a reputable, patient-centered orthopedic group in the Metro Detroit area. This role is ideal for a surgeon who values clinical excellence, teamwork, and long-term reputation over transactional practice models. You will work alongside experienced orthopedic surgeons, advanced practice providers, and a strong clinical support team committed to delivering exceptional spine care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spine Surgical Procedures - Perform a full spectrum of orthopedic spine surgeries with a proven track record supported by surgical logs.
  • Call Coverage - Participate in a shared call rotation (approx. 8-10 shifts per month).
  • Collaborative Care - Work closely with orthopedic partners, RNs, PAs, and clinical staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
  • Clinical Leadership - Partner with practice leadership to support departmental goals, quality initiatives, and potential research interests.
  • Professional Standards - Maintain the highest levels of integrity, communication, and patient-centered decision-making.
Practice & Compensation Model
  • Production-based RVU model with competitive earning potential.
  • Strong support for surgical volume across Metro Detroit, including access to multiple OR locations.
  • Malpractice coverage provided by the organization.

Qualifications
  • Board-certified or board-eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with fellowship training in Spine Surgery.
  • Demonstrated surgical experience with logs available for review.
