Position NDT Inspector Location & Compensation Location: Shelby, NC Hourly Range: $25.38 to $35.00 Please note that the hourly range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in NC. Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer. Responsibilities Perform non‑destructive testing (NDT) per company procedures, including Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Fluorescent Penetrate Inspection (FPI) inspections, on fabricated or purchased components or finished products. Conduct pre‑inspection cleaning and post‑inspection preservation. Determine and execute the most effective methods, sequences, and procedures necessary for assigned NDT activities. Create and record MPI techniques and obtain approval from the responsible NDT Level 3. Work from regulations, codes, standards, drawings, and specifications, interpreting general data as needed. Maintain minimum Level 2 certification in MPI and FPI. Perform weekly, monthly, and annual equipment testing as required by specifications, interpreting and recording test results. Qualifications High‑school diploma. Must be a U.S. citizen. 4–6 years of experience in NDT. NDT Level 2 certifications in MPI and FPI. Strong oral and written communication skills.
