Job Summary Validate parts and assemblies against the design intent by collecting points gathered by using a coordinate measure machine. Education and Experience Associate degree and three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum one (1) year programming CMM, Faro equipment and Polyworks software experience a plus. CMM Level III certification preferred. Required Skills and Abilities Minimum one (1) year of experience operating Laser Tracker and Articulated Arm PCMM’s either Faro, Leica, or API using Spatial Analyzer or Polyworks. Experience with ERP systems, preferably IFS. Demonstrated excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently. Excellent attendance record including job stability. Must have the ability to change and adapt to new situations. Must be able to read and understand blueprints and drawings. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals. Operate PCMM’s to assist trades in fit-up i.e. live fit. Conduct regular maintenance on PCMM and inspection equipment. Collect and analyze data using Spatial Analyzer. Understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Uses calipers, micrometers, and other hand inspection tools as required Performs other related duties as assigned. Responsible for housekeeping in the department. Performs other related duties as assigned. Travel Requirements As needed to facilities within the Southeast region. Physical Requirements May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel regularly. Lift up to 50 pounds. Work Environment Exposure is frequent to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles - eye protection is required, and fumes, machine vibration, and noisy conditions, high temperatures, and occasional to a restricted space work area.
