Date Posted: 2026-06-25 What You Will Do Develop and implement one or more MIL‑STD‑1472 compliant Human Factors programs. Perform MIL‑STD‑1472 Human Factors Program tasks and analyses. Lead Human Factors Engineering efforts across integrated product teams and lines to eliminate hazards or provide effective controls. Coordinate with customer human factors representatives to clarify system requirements for software, hardware, and test personnel, ensuring design and architecture considerations are integrated across development teams. Conduct Human Factors planning, hazard analyses, and design analyses. Brief Human Factors considerations at technical reviews and as part of the engineering approval process. Interpret system requirements, customer specifications, and military/commercial standards. Prepare internal and customer reports describing analyses relevant to the Human Factors program. Collaborate across multiple disciplines to understand product architecture and design. Interface with other engineering functions including Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Hardware Engineering. Qualifications You Must Have Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Experience with Human Factors Engineering, Human Systems Integration, or Safety Engineering. Experience with hardware and/or software. U.S. citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance. Qualifications We Prefer Active, transferrable Secret security clearance. Experience in defense, aerospace, or safety‑critical systems. Experience with requirements development or systems engineering processes. Experience with usability evaluation, task analysis, or human performance concepts (internship level acceptable). Experience with user interface design concepts, wireframing, or prototyping tools. Introductory exposure to MIL‑STD‑1472 human factors concepts. Introductory exposure to MIL‑STD‑882 system safety concepts.
