Job Description

This is a paid Hyatt Food & Beverage Internship Program designed for students seeking hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of the hospitality industry. Interns will work within Hyatt’s Food & Beverage Division in an hourly operational role while gaining exposure to additional hotel departments through weekly divisional trainings and leadership development sessions.

Throughout the program, interns will gain real-world experience operating within a high-volume downtown Dallas hotel environment, including restaurant, bar, coffee shop, and guest service operations.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

The internship combines operational experience, leadership mentorship, and business-focused learning objectives to provide a well-rounded hospitality education.

Interns will:

  • Work directly within Hyatt Food & Beverage operations
  • Gain exposure to restaurant, bar, coffee shop, and hotel service environments
  • Attend weekly leadership and divisional training sessions conducted by hotel managers
  • Participate in operational meetings and business discussions when applicable
  • Develop professional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Complete structured learning objectives aligned with university requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support daily operations within Food & Beverage outlets
  • Assist leadership teams in delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Learn restaurant, bar, coffee shop, and hotel operational workflows
  • Complete assigned operational and business-related projects
  • Maintain professionalism and Hyatt service standards
  • Participate in coaching and development conversations with leadership
  • Work collaboratively with multiple hotel departments
  • Develop three learning objectives with assigned leadership at the start of the program
  • Participate in final internship evaluation and performance review
INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 6 weeks duration
  • An assigned supervisor/mentor with operational leadership experience
  • Three documented learning objectives established at program start
  • Ongoing coaching, mentorship, and professional development
  • Completion of a final evaluation using university-provided format
  • Current college student pursuing Business, Hospitality, Culinary, or related field
  • Interest in hospitality leadership and operations
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and professional communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ability to commit to the full internship program duration
