Job Title: Associate Director Corporate Communications Location: Parsippany, NJ Type: Direct Hire - full time permanent direct with our client Compensation: $135,000.00 - $170,000.00 Work Model: Hybrid – onsite Tuesday and Thursday Join a growing biopharmaceutical organization where communications plays a critical role in shaping corporate reputation, supporting key business milestones, and translating complex science into meaningful stories. This is an opportunity to work closely with executive leadership and cross‑functional teams to drive both external and internal communications initiatives across a fast‑paced, highly visible environment. Prior related pharmaceutical experience is required. Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of integrated corporate communications strategies that support company priorities, pipeline milestones, and brand positioning. Manage media relations activities, including drafting press releases, building relationships with healthcare and industry media, and supporting proactive outreach. Translate complex scientific, clinical, and corporate data into accessible messaging for diverse stakeholders including media, investors, healthcare professionals, and patients. Design and implement internal communications initiatives to promote company culture, organizational alignment, and change management efforts. Support crisis and issues management by preparing communication strategies and materials for sensitive situations. Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, HR, Commercial, and Executive teams to ensure compliant and aligned messaging. Partner with executive leadership to develop presentations, speeches, and leadership messaging to enhance corporate reputation and visibility. Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and mitigate reputational risks. Support communications related to clinical milestones, regulatory updates, corporate announcements, and scientific presentations. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred. 5–8+ years of experience in corporate communications within biotech, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or related fields. Proven ability to support corporate reputation, executive communications, media relations, and internal initiatives. Experience translating complex scientific and clinical data into clear, compelling messaging for diverse audiences. Strong understanding of communications within a regulated healthcare or pharmaceutical environment. Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Legal, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Leadership. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, media monitoring tools, collaboration platforms, and digital communication channels. Ability to independently develop high‑quality PowerPoint presentations with structured flow. Travel up to 10% domestically for meetings, conferences, and events.
