Plan, build, and maintain existing Linux-based HPC infrastructure to support Intel business related activities. Highly available and on-site to handle spontaneous requests from Intel and external users. Create and maintain system documentation and logs. Work daily with engineering and marketing teams to ensure system is operating at a level sufficient for driving business revenue. The candidate must be able to work independently, identify and resolve potential problems, and be able to handle the position tasks quickly with limited training.
At least 3 years of experience with Linux system administration of HPC clusters. Proven experience with networking, especially for large networks spanning multiple clusters. Firewall management and security implementation/monitoring. Expertise with Redhat Enterprise Linux operating system. Ability to remove/install multiple servers in a short period weighing up to 40 pounds, as well as familiarity with cabling networking and power to the servers.
Preferred skills: Experience with parallel computing languages such as MPI/OpenMP (Very preferred). Remote BIOS management through OOB network. Knowledge of high speed interconnect setup such as Infiniband.
