Construction Accountant

Job Details

Responsibilities: As a Construction Accountant, you will:

  • Manage all financial aspects of our construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Perform job costing and project accounting, ensuring all costs are accurately recorded and allocated.
  • Utilize SAGE 300 and Procor software for financial management and reporting.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and project reports, providing detailed analysis and insights.
  • Work closely with project managers to monitor project progress and financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards in the construction industry.
  • Assist with financial audits and implement audit recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other team members to improve financial processes and systems.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction accounting.
  • Proficiency in construction accounting software, specifically SAGE 300 and Procor.
  • Strong knowledge of job costing and project accounting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • The ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A strong understanding of financial regulations and standards in the construction industry.
