As a Commercial Sales Representative at GEICO, you will play a key role in expanding our presence in the commercial insurance market by building strong, long-term relationships with business customers. Working within the Sales & Business Development department, you will focus on understanding the unique risks and coverage needs of small to mid-sized businesses and recommending tailored GEICO insurance solutions that support their growth and protection. Drawing on GEICO’s reputation as a prominent auto and multi-line insurance provider, you will prospect and develop new commercial accounts while also nurturing existing client relationships to drive retention and account growth. In this role, you will manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification through consultation, proposal development, and closing. You will conduct outbound outreach and respond to inbound inquiries, using your communication and negotiation skills to educate business owners and decision-makers on commercial auto, property, liability, and related insurance products. You will collaborate closely with underwriting, claims, and service teams to ensure that each policy is accurately structured, competitively priced, and aligned with GEICO’s underwriting guidelines, while delivering a smooth onboarding experience for new clients. You will be expected to consistently meet or exceed sales targets and key performance indicators, leveraging CRM tools and sales analytics to manage your pipeline, forecast results, and prioritize the highest-impact opportunities. Your ability to listen, ask insightful questions, and translate business risks into appropriate coverage recommendations will be critical to your success. You will provide ongoing service and periodic policy reviews to your commercial clients, identifying opportunities for additional coverage and strengthening long-term relationships.
