Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 / hour

Shift: Tuesday - Saturday, Day Shift

Position Overview:

We are actively recruiting Apartment Maintenance Technicians with recent apartment turn experience to support upcoming opportunities with multiple apartment communities in the Hillsboro area. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience preparing vacant units for new residents and can complete turns efficiently with minimal supervision. Painting experience is especially critical, as well as the ability to handle a variety of make-ready tasks to ensure units are fully move-in ready.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced turn technicians seeking immediate and upcoming project-based and long-term assignments.

Responsibilities:

• Complete full apartment turns, including patching, painting, and preparing units for occupancy
• Perform all make-ready duties to restore units to move-in condition
• Patch holes, repair drywall, touch up paint, and paint full units as needed
• Clean and prepare units, including removing debris and leftover materials
• Replace blinds, fixtures, light bulbs, outlet covers, and hardware
• Complete minor plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing faucets
• Assist with basic electrical tasks such as replacing light fixtures and switches
• Report maintenance issues requiring advanced repair
• Assist with groundskeeping, trash removal, and general community upkeep
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment

Qualifications:

• Required: Recent apartment turn / make-ready / unit flip experience
• Ability to complete turns within tight deadlines and prepare multiple units simultaneously
• Strong painting skills, including full unit painting and touch-ups
• Experience with drywall patching and unit preparation
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned units
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and efficient
• Experience working in occupied and vacant apartment communities preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and twisting
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Ability to work in vacant units without climate control at times
