Overview Oberlin City Schools is seeking a full time qualified American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to provide interpreting services for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. The interpreter will facilitate communication between students, teachers, peers, and staff to ensure equal access to instruction and participation in all school activities. Collaborate with teachers, intervention specialists, and related service providers. Adapt interpreting methods to meet individual student needs. Prepare for assignments by reviewing lesson plans and instructional materials. Promote student independence and self-advocacy skills. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Bachelor’s degree preferred Current Ohio Department of Education Educational Interpreter License (required).
