Summary: The A&A Senior Manager is the team member who manages client relationships and extends services through frequent personal interaction, client advisory meetings and other professional communications.
Responsibilities: - Is responsible for all phases of audit, review, compilation or other accounting engagements. Plans, supervises, reviews and controls A&A engagements of all sizes and complexities for compliance with all professional and firm standards.
- Performs higher level A&A engagements and expands ability to perform or supervise new types of engagements.
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and their application to client situations.
- Continues to develop a specific area of technical expertise or concentration in servicing a segment of clients.
- Understanding of GAAP at a complex level.
- Understanding of the audit manual (MCAP) & methodology relative to complex level.
- Completes engagement level review in accordance with GFC's quality control policies.
- Reviews research findings, work papers, formulates conclusions consistent with GFC policies and professional standards, and determines implications and best course of action for client.
- Delegates work effectively to ensure deadlines are met, team is held accountable and has development/growth opportunities.
- Acts as a forward-thinking change agent, helps client see direction of industry trends and how to evolve business.
- Participates in internal/external networking activities while enhancing existing professional network.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or another relevant field required.
- Possesses CPA licensure
- At least 7 years of experience in public accounting
- Understanding of industry specific information/requirements.
